What is Joomla?
Simply put, Joomla is a website creation software. It is the most popular website software available. Joomla is perfect for a small business website, first of all, because it is free. But also, because of these other features:

It is a content management system (CMS). A CMS separates the content of a site from the layout of the site. This allows users to manage the content of their website using a content editor, similar to a word processor, and without having to know how to write code.
It is extensible. There are literally thousands of extensions that can be added to the basic Joomla installation. These extensions include features like a shopping cart, image galleries, video players, MP3 players, calendars, message boards, and the list goes on and on.
It has built-in user management. This can be used to give restricted access to areas of the website or to allow multiple users access to make changes to the site and its content.
